"I finished the book last night. At first I was not crazy about the writing style, it wasn't your normal professionally-written book. It's written in a storytelling style, as if someone just wrote down everything that was said while the story was being told.  Once you get used to the style, it really is just like you are listening to Joel tell his story directly to you. I won't lie, Joel has a bit of an ego, but I would think that most of the talented people involved with Shelby probably had an ego (and probably rightfully so). I really enjoyed all the stories about Shelby's involvement in IMSA racing.  I loved hearing about all the practical jokes and kidding around between the guys. By halfway through the book, I really felt I was getting to know the main characters.  They had something special going during their glory days.  It was a great read, and makes me a lot more appreciative of my GLH's heritage.  Just as boneyardracing said, I really wished there was even more when I got to the end of the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to hear more about what happened inside the Shelby Automobiles operation."
